Michael F. Loesel
1835 - 1921
   Michael Loesel was born in Beiron, Germany, January 24, 1835. He immigrated to the United States in 1853. He became a citizen October 5, 1860. He died in Erie, Pennsylvania December 13, 1921. Michael was a builder by trade. He built and owned in excess of 50 houses and several commerical real estate buildings. Loesel Avenue (where he owned all the property on both sides of the street) ran between East 18th Street and the Nickel Plate Railroad Station which was on East 19th Street. In addition to the avenue, he also developed Hausmann Court which was between East 18th and 19th Street West of Loesel Avenue.
   Michael's first marriage in 1853 was to Anna Maria Jacobi (Born 1839 - Died1865), they had three children SEE BELOW. His second marriage in 1866 was to Emma M. Hartleb Stickle (Born 1844 Died 1923), they had nine children. Six of their children died under the age of five.

*Willie J., Anna M., Willie (not a mistake two children were named Willie), Clara, Otto, Eddie Lewis and August Loesel all died as babies or very young children, there are will be no pages for them.
